If the response to the 90 second teaser is anything to go by, Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger is set for an absolute earth-shattering opening on Independence day.
Featuring Salman Khan as Tiger, the teaser was released on Youtube on 10th May. Barely 4 days later, the trailer has been viewed more than 1.5 million times (currently at 1,655,107 views)!
Ormax Media, a consumer knowledge and consulting firm, tweeted that the buzz for Ek Tha Tiger stands at 17%. At around the same time (i.e 14 weeks before the film’s release), Shahrukh Khan’s Ra One was at 24%. Not much to choose between the two, as Ra One’s trailer had released on television, whereas the Ek Tha Tiger teaser was only released on the internet and cinemas (along with Ishaqzaade).
What’s more, the film’s leading lady Katrina Kaif is yet to make an appearance!
Sky is the limit for the film. If the film turns out to be good, Ek Tha Tiger should easily cross the lifetime business of 3 Idiots.
