Karishma Kapoor’s comeback film has failed miserably at the box-office. The opening was poor on Friday and the film failed to pick up over the weekend. Competition from films like Vicky Donor, The Avenger and Ishaqzaade didn’t help.
In the end, the result was quite similar to Madhuri Dixit’s Aaja Nachle, which opened better back then, but failed to sustain.
Weekend collections
Friday – 1.1 crores
Saturday – 1.2 crores
Sunday – 1.5 crores
Total – 3.8 crores
The film should be out of most theaters by the end of this week and is likely to fold up under 7-8 crores (lifetime business). It’s hard to understand why Karishma decided to make her return with a film that looked outdated from the promos itself.
