In the last 4 years, the growth in the first weekend business has been staggering.

2009 – 3 Idiots – 37.98 crores
2010 – Dabangg – 48.82 crores (first 3 days)
2011 – Ra One – 52.93 crores (first 3 days, hindi version only)

In 2012, the 60 crore mark could be breached in the first 3-day weekend itself.
